The cover for the upcoming book The Art and Making of The Predator went up on Titan Books’ Official Website this weekend, giving fans their first look at the new alien hunter (also known as Yautja). If you’re wondering what makes this sucker different from those seen riding tanks with members of the sizable ensemble cast, AvP Galaxy explains:
One notable feature is the singular wrist-blade design, similar to the ones the “Super-Predators” used in the 2010 film, Predators. In our interview with StudioADI last November, we asked if any elements from Predators would influence what we’d be seeing in The Predator, and naturally, creature designers Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis were coy about that info.
You can pre-order the book, slated for release on September 18th, HERE.

The Predator’s sizable ensemble cast includes Thomas Jane, Jake Busey, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, and Augusto Aguilera (and not Arnold Schwarzenegger *wink*wink*). Look for it in theaters beginning September 14th.
In the original Predator (Official Synopsis): Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a soldier of fortune, is hired by the U.S. government to secretly rescue a group of politicians trapped in Guatemala. But when Dutch and his team, which includes weapons expert Blain (Jesse Ventura) and CIA agent George (Carl Weathers), land in Central America, something is gravely wrong. After finding a string of dead bodies, the crew discovers they are being hunted by a brutal creature with superhuman strength and the ability to disappear into its surroundings.
Ironically, director Shane Black had a bit-part in Predator, alongside Schwarzenegger. He played Hawkins who was, unfortunately, the aggressive alien’s first kill.
