Perhaps the only good thing about Spike TV’s fabulous disaster that was The Mist Season 1 is that it reminded us how amazing Frank Darabont’s 2007 adaptation of Stephen King’s novella really is. You love the ending or you hate it, but you can’t deny the film’s one of the absolute best horror offerings of the 21st Century. While The Mist TV series won’t be counted among the winners this year’s Stephen King Renaissance, the film will always remain extremely rewatchable, compelling, and terrifying!
To celebrate the greatness of Darabont’s masterpiece, we’re pleased to bring you Kill Count’s latest offering; obviously, it focuses on The Mist. Dead Meat’s James A. Janisse narrates an examination of the movie’s many dispatches, from the jaw-dropping to the heart-wrenching. It’s more than just a highlight of the kill scenes, it’s a complete recap of the film with witty commentary and running stats.
The video concludes with the series’ trademark rundowns of victimology and, it’s worth noting, The Mist has the highest overall casualty list of any previous Kill Count installment. It’s also worth noting that there were innumerable deaths that occurred off-screen in The Mist, so, the real numbers are absolutely catastrophic.
