The cast for The Conjuring 2 spinoff The Nun, currently in pre-production, is filling out nicely. We previously announced that Bonnie Aarons, who played the shocking demon nun Valak in 2016’s The Conjuring 2 is bringing the unholy terror back, along with franchise newcomers Taissa Farmiga and Demián Bichir. Today, we’ve got a couple new cast members to announce.
Charlotte Hope, best known for her work on HBO’s Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of New Line’s The Nun, the latest spinoff from James Wan’s horror universe based on characters from The Conjuring movies. Hope will play Sister Victoria, a nun haunted by a demonic presence.
The other new cast member, revealed on Friday, is Belgium actor (and relative unknown) Jonas Bloquet.
The Nun is being directed by Corin Hardy from a script penned by IT scribe Gary Dauberman and franchise creator James Wan. The film is set to being filming in Romania this week with a target release date of Friday, July 18th, 2018. It will be a while before we have a trailer, but check out the trailer and synopsis for The Conjuring 2, which introduced The Nun, below.
