We’re getting lots of late-breaking news this Friday—and it’s a great way to kick off the weekend! We just announced that one of our favorite shows from 2016, The Exorcist on Fox, has been renewed for a 2nd season. Now, we’re getting word that Leatherface, the hotly anticipated prequel to the seminal Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, will finally be arriving this October.

Official Synopsis: Prequel about teenage Leatherface who escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Along the way, they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, molding him into the monster we now call Leatherface.
Leatherface is directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury from a script penned by Seth M. Sherwood. The film stars Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, and Nicole Andrews.
