We’ve been following the turbulent production of the long-gestation 3rd chapter in the Jeepers Creepers franchise for what feels like ages. An initial attempt to shoot the film in Canada was thwarted in 2016, which pushed production back until earlier this year when Jeepers Creepers 3 was shot in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. We heard that the film had wrapped shooting a few weeks ago, and now, we’re getting word on a possible release date.
The news comes from The Edmond Sun who just released an interview with 20-year-old Justin Hall, who has a significant role in Jeepers Creepers 3. While his insights are interesting, what horror fans will find most exciting is the reveal of a release date.
The Edmond native [Hall] will continue to seek characters to portray and see how the public perceives his latest character. Jeepers Creepers 3 is scheduled to premiere on Labor Day [September 1, 2017].
Official Synopsis: Taking place on the last day of the Creeper’s twenty-three-day feeding frenzy, as the skeptical Sargent Tubbs teams up with a task force hellbent on destroying the Creeper for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.
The film features Meg Foster, Gina Philips, and Jonathan Breck.
Of course, we still need official confirmation from a studio source before we can remove the question mark from our headline. Obviously, we’ll update you as additional details emerge. Stay tuned!
