The idea that Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead might exist in the same universe isn’t a new theory (both are AMC shows, after all). Eagle-eyed fans spotted Walker White’s (Bryan Cranston) infamous “Blue Sky Meth” in The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 2, Guts, when Daryl (Norman Reedus) digs through his stash bag for some meds. Check out the picture below.
But the folks over at Netflix just released a Fan Theory (the “Breaking Dead Theory” to be exact) that pushes the link even further, suggesting that Walter White’s meth may actually be the cause of the zombie apocalypse. Sounds farfetched, but the video makes a compelling argument! Check it out and let us know what you think in the Comments section!
Breaking Bad ran on AMC for 5 seasons between 2008 and 2013; it spawned the spinoff Better Call Saul. Season 7 of The Walking Dead just kicked off last October; it also led to a spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, that’s two seasons old and definitely takes place in the same universe!
Episode 3 of The Walking Dead Season 7 airs Sunday at 9 PM on AMC. You can see a preview below.
Official Synopsis: “The Cell” – A new group of survivors seem to have it all in their impressive community; however, there is a price.
