Going into Season 7, American Horror Story has a well-established mainstay of alumni waiting in the wings for a possible return. But showrunner Ryan Murphy’s latest addition to the cast is a newcomer, not just to the world of AHS, but to horror altogether: Comedian Billy Eichner played Craig Middlebrooks in Parks and Recreation; he also has his own game show (Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner) and provides the voice for the librarian Mr. Ambrose on Bob’s Burgers.
As usual, details about Eichner’s character are being kept under wraps, but sources say he is playing a close confidant of [Sarah] Paulson’s character and mostly will be wearing mysterious tank tops. I hear Eichner will be in six or seven of the 11 episodes in Season 7, which begins shooting in May.
Eichner will join previously confirmed Season 7 cast members Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, and Cheyenne Jackson. The latest installment of FX’s wildly successful horror anthology series will somehow be tied to the latest US presidential election.
