American Horror Story showrunner Ryan Murphy has recruited a new cast member from one of his other shows. The latest addition to Season 7’s election-themed ensemble is Scream Queens’ star Billie Lourd. While the part she is playing will probably remain unknown until the series returns to FX, all indications are her role will be an important one.
EXCLUSIVE: Scream Queens breakout Billie Lourd is set as a lead opposite Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters in the upcoming seventh season of Ryan Murphy’s FX anthology series American Horror Story. In addition to returning AHS stars Paulson and Peters, Lourd joins fellow new addition to the horror drama franchise, Billy Eichner.

Although nothing is known about the plot for Season 7 beyond the fact that it’s “inspired by” the recent US presidential race and will take place in the immediate aftermath of the 2016 election, fans and even actors are speculating who might be portraying real-life famous faces. Paulson has stated a strong desire to play Trump himself or, in not, his oft-embattled councilor Kellyanne Conway (who infamously, and perhaps accidentally, popularized the term “Alternative Fact).
