We were glued to social media yesterday waiting for an announcement revealing the title and release date for Season 7 of American Horror Story. Word came out of San Diego Comic-Con that American Horror Story: Cult will premiere on FX on September 5th! Now, in addition to the title and start-date, we’ve got a teaser and a bunch of new details to share! First, the teaser; have a look-see:
Cults are scary. Clowns are scary. Cults comprised entirely of clowns are terrifying!
Here are some other important updates. Per Bloody-Disgusting:
Season 7 will be the most Evan Peters-heavy season yet;
Evan Peters’ character name is Kai;
Sarah Paulson is playing Ally;
The season runs 11 episodes long; and
Frances Conroy and Mare Winningham are back.
There is also conjecture that American Horror Story: Cult takes place in Michigan, though this has not been confirmed. In addition to Conroy, Winningham, Paulson, and Peters confirmed cast members are Lena Dunham, Billy Eichner, Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter, Alison Pill, Colton Haynes, and Leslie Grossman.
