Those who have already seen Kong: Skull Island, which hit US Theaters nationwide last Friday, know one thing for certain: Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has delivered the biggest, most powerful incarnation of the gigantic ape yet! But just how big is Skull Island’s Kong? The smart folks at BestUKCasino.org.uk busted out their pens and calculators to bring his enormity into perspective. The result is an impressive infographic that will blow your mind while enhancing your appreciation for The King.

Company spokesman John Lucas told me:
“The interesting thing to point out is that they used a chimpanzee as a reference point rather than a gorilla, which I honestly think is more accurate. People often compare Kong to a gorilla, and his past iterations (especially in the Peter Jackson remake from 2005) have very obviously been based on that ape, but the Kong from Skull Island walks upright and visibly resembles a chimp more, which, to be fair, is something I hadn’t really thought about until seeing this infographic. Using the numbers of Kong’s real life counterpart, the infographic’s writer was able to calculate that the King of Skull Island would be able to lift 1.5 times his weight and would have to eat over 100,000 pounds of food per day to survive. That’s pretty insane! But honestly, if we can buy the fact that a creature like Godzilla (who is bigger and meaner than Kong) can exist in that universe, it’s not that much of a stretch to accept his existence as well.”
