20. THE LORDS OF SALEM written by ROB ZOMBIE- Now, I know that I am going to receive shit for this one, but the fact of the matter is, the film and the novelization are two different trips into Hell. It deviates so far from the movie in so many scenes, even though many of the characters are exactly the same, this tale is more descriptive of who The Lords are, the ancestry of radio DJ and recovering addict, Heidi. But more importantly this is way more horror than the art house offering, with more blood, demons, monsters, and descriptive violence than was ever shown in the cinema. The atmosphere is dark from the beginning, and is unrelenting until the last page. The Lords Of Salem was published by Grand Central Publishing.
